Pros

Culture is great. The people at this company are talented and collaborative. 2020 did well through the pandemic. Portfolio is great. Focus on diversity and inclusion has been improving the mix of folks working here.

Cons

New leadership in sales, finance and product engineering have made poor decisions That appeal more to Wall Street than our customers. Sales compensation changed to a point where I could predict a mass exodus of good people in the next couple quarters if changes aren’t made to stop the outflow. Marketing message has been confusing to legacy customers. Driving organic new growth has been a challenge. There’s a class system internally made up of how the divisions of business units are organized that leaves people who are not working in the “top” class wanting for resources and support.

Pros

Amongst the top companies in the data storage industry = company stability.

Cons

If you'd ask me a year or 2 ago, I would have given the company 5 stars. But, as with most tech companies now, they've started to follow the trend of return to office, regardless of logic. There's little to no room for exceptions and the company would rather sacrifice productivity regardless if they know the hardships for people living in metros (one way commute to the NY or SJC office can take 2 hours one way!) - that and there's no commuter benefits. You have to pay out of pocket and live in fear of not receiving your bonus if you miss the "thrive together" quarterly requirements.
