Fantastic organization BUT IA Department is Toxic - Senior Auditor New York Power Authority Employee Review

Cons: The IA department is a completely different story and a stark exception to the wider company culture. Because IA leadership comes primarily from the private sector, they inappropriately apply intense corporate pressures to a government agency environment. The department is plagued by constant scope creep, the expectation to routinely work well beyond normal business hours, and unprofessional behavior, including outright insults. To make matters worse, one specific manager has the highest turnover rate in the department but continues to operate with zero accountability. Ultimately, while NYPA is great, the IA department is an awful place to work.
