Pros
Catered lunches, fun events, flexible work hours, ability to work from home as needed.
Cons
I have never been part of a sales org within a large company that has such an inability or willingness to set their reps up for success. From day one, training was erratic and felt like it had no direction or purpose. Many times I heard the phrase "you'll figure it out as you go along"; while true to some extent in most companies, this seemed to be the mantra for literally everything. Managers were consistently unavailable. Three managers to about 50 new sales reps was not enough. There was a distinct lack of collaboration between top reps and new reps on the floor. Very little mentorship unless you managed to make friends with someone. Quarterly goals are set up in a way that you are unable to gauge how hard you need to work because your clients can stop spending at any time. It was very hard to stand behind the product because there is no guarantee that it will actually work for anyone. You just plug numbers in and hope it all works out. Even before the layoffs, this company was a complete circus. Zero transparency from the CEO or even lower level management. No one ever knows what's going on or is willing to take the blame for anything. Certain reps who were popular were getting fed leads while the rest of the floor did not. When this was addressed, management swore up and down they had no idea it was happening. Then pivoted to say it was only because we had a small number of licenses. Ridiculous.
