Pros

Fully remote job - minimal stipend for online food ordering

Cons

People with a high school mentality run this company. Friends, relatives, and those who are very good at brown-nosing get promotions and job titles with better pay--and do very little. Dedication, hard work, loyalty, and personal sacrifices when there were staff shortages mean nothing to the people in charge of this sinking ship. It used to be the best platform in this industry but is being replaced rapidly. Salary is lower than other tech companies. Super micromanaged work environment with high turnover. Benefits used to be decent, but those have also gone down the drain. A company that is not making money will not pay for worthwhile insurance plans. I advise anyone looking for a job here to look elsewhere. There are mass layoffs at least once a year, if not more. Moreover, the company is losing money, not making it. So beware, if you are considering applying to this place, you have been forewarned.

Thanks for your feedback. We appreciate your hard work and dedication during your time at Nextbite. In addressing your concerns, we do pride ourselves at Nextbite as we regard our promotion process to be fair and merit-based, without nepotism or currying favors. Our Ordermark platform has continued to evolve with upgrades like our billing reconciliation and we stay ahead of the competition as a market leader in the virtual restaurant space. As it relates to benefits, we unveiled our new benefit offerings for January of 2023 which included the same “top of the line” benefit carriers and the inclusion of newly offered employer-paid legal benefits. Nextbite also absorbed the majority of the benefit renewal. While we had to recently make the hard decision to reduce targeted teams, we remain poised to succeed with our strategic realignment and laser focused goals. Unfortunately, in a startup environment like ours, we often shift our business strategy as we respond to the market. Startups can be high-cost and low-revenue while they build. We are pleased to say that we’ve significantly grown our order volume year-over-year. The future is bright at Nextbite and we foresee ourselves in an even better market position this time next year. -Alex Canter
