Good employer, could do away with the office politics - Patient Account Representative Ogden Clinic Employee Review

Pros

Solid growth, good benefits relative to other area employers (especially the $800 in-clinic healthcare allowance), professional work environment. i would only recommend to a friend on two conditions: temporary (1-4 years) employment with benefits, or if you are coming in as a supervisor or higher.

Cons

office politics and behind-the-door conversations run rampant. upward momentum can be difficult, I watched multiple roles that would have been promotions that were "absorbed" by an employee already at that level. raises and pay are generally sub-industry norms. doctors act like gods among men, fueled by both their ego and specialty treatment by administrators, directors and executives.

Pros

Great coworkers Rep lunches some weeks Caring management Learned a lot of new skills Awesome hours Appreciation and recognition for employees

Cons

The only thing I'd say is that it was not as active as my CNA job, more desk work combined with helping patients

Pros

This dept finally got new management.

Cons

Funny because the bad reviews for the dept have slowly been taken down. Hopefully with the new management switch things will get better!! But the last management made the environment very toxic. Heavy on micromanaging, impossible expectations in full transparency. One day you get a compliment “thanks for taking on extra work!” then the next day “everything you do isn’t enough, your too slow, the minor mistake you just made looks bad on you”. It was survival mode.
