Pros

Base pay and benefits are good. Downtown location is fun, and there are plenty of close places to eat. Coworkers are great. Working at a company this size teaches you a lot about other departments. PTO policy is generous, and one work from home day per week is nice.

Cons

Overall, OnShift lacks long-term vision/direction. It seems like every few months priorities change. There is also a major lack of accountability in nearly every department. Sales leadership is the worst I've ever seen. They have little skill or desire to coach people, and spend the majority of their time in meetings. They are obsessed with the perception that they are busy and therefore "working." I'm not sure what goes on in these meetings, but there is rarely any sort of improvement. I have personally experienced many meetings where absolutely nothing was accomplished, and there were several times certain people simply ignored their action items. As a leader at a company the size of OnShift, you shouldn't be able to "hide," but it's astounding how many do and how little work gets done. Some members of sales leadership are also just plain disrespectful toward other people in the organization, which is unacceptable. The product is good for the most part, but innovation has stalled majorly. It seems like the dev team is working mostly on performance issues instead of new features. Features are getting pushed back months or quarters, and no one is held accountable for missed deadlines. There is also a huge backlog of implementations for new customers or add-ons, which affects the CS team as well as the actual revenue coming in. It's difficult to grow sales at the rate OnShift wants to with a lack of new markets to sell to and products to sell. Leadership doesn’t actually care about employee retention, no matter how much they say they do.

Pros

Salaries are higher than elsewhere in the city.

Cons

There are reasons the salaries are higher than elsewhere in the city -- this business has many detriments.
