Pros

Free coffee (pre-covid) Nothing further Free parking

Cons

Don't think you'll join OT and use your brain to improve anything. No one above will even entertain your willingness to improve systems/processes because they don't want to admit they never came up with the idea. Even if you do implement something that helps an entire department, management will pretend it wasn't significant so they can give you a 1% raise. Each department I worked with operated with low headcount so it took forever to get anything accomplished, again don't bring this up or you will be put in your place. Through all the layoffs and people leaving, there are huge knowledge gaps in the customer facing positions. Most of your colleague will do the bare minimum but win awards for their effort. This kind of behaviour diminishes those who work hard and accomplish actual goals. Many other reviews make this point too. You won't be provided any training and your colleagues won't help you because they would rather see you crash and burn. The products are all very dated and customers are having trouble keeping up with the times on the platforms. OT buys products on the way out for a low price and then rakes in the maintenance revenue until only a few customers are left standing. Very marginal upgrades are made a long the way, but they often are too difficult to upgrade to so the customers are all on versions from 10+ years ago. Read some of the other reviews on Glassdoor that are more than 1 sentence and will notice themes that seem to be true across the org.

Pros

While they claim to be "pro-employee" they are very much pro-Canadian employee. As long as you are a Canadian, your job should be safe. And US based role is in jeopardy.

Cons

Laying off all Americans. I do not see relevant data on location based statistics for the last 4 rounds of layoffs. The bulk of the "trimming" has been based in US. This is cost savings. Additionally, they post US based jobs for 24 hours then pull those and post H1B notifications that they could not find equivalent US resources and need to outsource for cheaper money.
