In the time that I’ve been here the job has changed, and changed again, and changed again! Not in a good way either! I have seen amazing talented experienced co-workers let go for reasons unknown. I bought into the Paper dream of positivity and that they actually cared about their employees with all the benefits they have (PTO, swag, company trips) but it’s just a facade. Roles are created and eliminated just like that, almost like a guessing game at this point to see what sticks. We all live in fear wondering if today will be our last - most of us are applying for other jobs. This company had so much potential to be great but poor leadership and business decisions from higher ups who have no experience running a business at this level is going to be their downfall. Culture wise, it’s pretty toxic and damaging to one’s mental health. I would compare it to high school where if you aren’t in the popular crowd or fall in line with their decisions you are out. If you want to work here, be ready to give up your voice (can’t have an opinion here), your integrity (start being a “yes man”), your feelings (if you are anything other than positive 24/7 you are gone), and your mental health (employees are expendable to them). If these things don’t matter to you then you will go far - you may even be promoted a few times to job titles they make up, but just be prepared they can change their mind a day later as you really don’t matter to them.
