Pros
Remote work, helping kids is rewarding, the other tutors are mostly wonderful
Cons
Micromanaging, drastically low pay, company is focused on profit above all, tutors -- highly educated professionals -- are not respected by management, expressing legitimate concerns can get you fired, promised benefits and changes never happen, tutors frequently scheduled for only 4 hours a week, the leveling system which was supposed to make sure we were all paid appropriately has instead resulted in a large number of tutors placed on a perma-probation level on trainee pay, tutors forced to juggle 3+ students at the same time without letting any of them know they aren't the only student with the tutor, and while school districts have been promised 1:1 tutoring, timing tutors' replies to students to the second without accounting for delays due to juggling multiple students... shall I go on?
