Pros
Not much to say as 2023 is a rough year for the company. Sales is being told to sell a non existing platform so a big chunk of the sales workforce is fired to sell an ESS "idea" --- nothing exists currently.
Cons
Company trying to drastically pivot their business model from Tutors as the cost is exponential and not scalable. Also churn is high as schools don't see value in it -- engagement is non existent except for math which kids get for free in schools through various math apps. Service dept is unable to properly forecast demand and has been over hiring in 2022 -- big layoff for summer coming up. Tutors are not paid correctly making them hate working for the company. Company did a Elon Musk style opt out in Feb to reduce head count or as what management deemed underperformers. Proceeded to lay off another 15% in April (total 25%) mostly sales and HR -- including those doing DEI (clearly don't care about culture or people). They barely introduced their expensive new Chief People Officer and cut 80 people from the work force. Wonder why he must be making a lot for doing not much at all. Activity bonus metrics not being released, most likely won't pay this out or do another round of firing before August before payout.
