Pros

Great benefits Middle management is great Coworkers are AMAZING The company strives to do the right thing for its members

Cons

The Customer Service department for Commercial used to give the best customer service of any company I've worked for. Great training, employees were motivated to give great service and employees were supported by management. Fast forward to getting a new department manager and we haven't been the same since. The manager promotes a toxic, back stabbing culture. Being lied to consistently by the manager is apparently okay according to upper management. Many changes implemented in the department that have made it not operate nearly as efficiently as before and many people have left or are leaving because of this manager. Upper management and HR care not one bit. Pay is lower than it should be, considering how much we are supposed to know and do; Customer Service has to learn not just their job but the jobs of other departments and take their calls when they're at meetings. Treated like an entry level job when it's anything but. Returning to the office one day a week- seriously? We've proved that we can work remotely and everyone is saving money and saying they have better work-life balance. If someone is having performance issues or wants to return to the office then they should, but the rest of us should have the perk of working remotely. Why they're willing to lose employees over this is beyond me.

Pros

PacificSource genuinely cares for their employees and offers full time remote working opportunities, which Boomers have taken away everywhere else.

Cons

I think about quitting at least once a week because the employees here are soul-sucking. Entitled and out of touch. Might be the healthcare industry, but employees here doesn’t seem to understand the concept of smart business and our viability in the market if we don’t shape up.

Pros

Coworkers who support each other, care about the business, and work from home.

Cons

The path of destruction and mismanagement that’s at the executive level is astonishing. None of them appeared to know anything about how the work is being done and no one seems to have a clue about what updates and changes are happening, let alone how to proceed with changes since they have no clue about the steps within the work, which leads to a ton of confusion across teams. Asking questions and seeking conversation within this “open door” company is risky and labels you as “resistant”. It’s common and is keeping the people who are doing the work from participating in conversation because of fear of being retaliated against or of being viewed negatively.
