Pros
Doesn't feel like a big company yet - I can walk up to the CEO after an all-hands meeting, ask questions and get honest, spin-less answers Minimal bureaucracy - at most I need to ask one other person before starting a project No feeling like I need to be "on-call" all the time - I leave my laptop at work weeknights and weekends without issue
Cons
I was told some things were coming down the pipe when I was interviewing, and when those things appeared they differed significantly from how I was told they would be The perks that helped sell me on the company have been cut somewhat significantly Opportunities for "title advancement" seem limited - the next stop after Software Engineer is VP of Engineering for my subdivision Tech debt is crazy - to the point where we're struggling to start working on the features we've already sold to clients (I won't mention specific things here, but the thing with an underscore in its name sticks out)
