Pros
Pindrop's strength lies in the people, every single person is smart, talented, fun to work with and has something unique to offer. The company did a great job in talent acquisition. Pindrop can deliver anything with this team. The product is there, it works. There is still a significant room for growth, especially abroad, but...
Cons
But the continuing incompetence in management is taking its toll, the team is losing its magic. The overall stress level is high, decisions are usually tactical, made on the spot but has long term, usually conflicting effects. No clear direction, lack of unity. The internal structure is best described as a federation of clans. The result is a demotivated team of talented engineers, incapacitated with needless political battles. There is no performance bonus. Expecting a reward for good work after a year in such a short sighted, tribalistic organization is not realistic anyway. The perks and benefits are losing their appeal, too.
