Pros

Free lunch Tuesday through Thursday.

Cons

There is a huge reality issue between the Executives and the workerbees. Procore cannot scale its operations. New hires see this but leaders - especially ones that have been around since IPO- have zero ability to do anything or to understand the issues. Anyone working the deal operations knows that it’s one new motion away from complete month end chaos. The HR policies are stuck in some other generation. There are no team goals on which you are measured. There is no 360 where you can rate your manager. There is no leadership training or really any job training. There are no education benefits either.

Pros

A few individual coworkers were genuinely talented and kind.

Cons

The culture was the worst I’ve experienced. Expectations were unrealistic from day one. I was put in situations where success wasn’t possible, given little support or resources, then blamed for the outcome. Managers were unhelpful at best and dismissive at worst: guidance was nearly impossible to get, but criticism came fast. Self interest was rewarded over teamwork, and rudeness was tolerated as long as things looked good on paper. Raising concerns changed nothing. When employees struggle under impossible goals, the company moves on from them instead of fixing the system. That was my experience firsthand.
