Great Culture Compared to Other SaaS Companies - Senior Manager Procore Technologies Employee Review

Pros

I love Procore. There is an incredibly strong culture here that advocates for winning together vs the common cutthroat competition you often see in high-growth tech companies. There is not a single person I work with day-to-day that I do not respect nor is there anyone who I’d actively work to avoid. Middle management here isn’t so far removed from the work that they don’t actually know how the sausage is made and more often than not have the capability to make it themselves - which you don’t often see in similar companies. Beyond the culture, Procore has a really strong market opportunity and has been doing a solid job capitalizing on it.

Cons

The executive leadership can sometimes appear unfocused and/or is surprisingly in the weeds on projects that would be too small in another environment.

Pros

-Complete flexibility and autonomy; one of our core values is 'Ownership' and that is something I tangibly feel every day -Unlimited PTO and great benefits -An amazing team; I genuinely love everyone I work with on a daily basis -Great mission and product within a relatively stable/timeless industry (construction)

Cons

-Change is a constant - lots of leadership change over the past several years. I recognize this is not for everyone. However, I have a lot of faith in the new leadership team and the direction of the company.

Pros

Free lunch Tuesday through Thursday.

Cons

There is a huge reality issue between the Executives and the workerbees. Procore cannot scale its operations. New hires see this but leaders - especially ones that have been around since IPO- have zero ability to do anything or to understand the issues. Anyone working the deal operations knows that it’s one new motion away from complete month end chaos. The HR policies are stuck in some other generation. There are no team goals on which you are measured. There is no 360 where you can rate your manager. There is no leadership training or really any job training. There are no education benefits either.
