Pros

The product vision is getting clearer, and teams are finally starting to address the tech debt that’s been affecting stability. This shift should lead to better system reliability and set us up for smoother development going forward.

Cons

Procore lacks clear leadership, and your experience here depends largely on your manager’s ability to navigate the toxic politics. Management targets employees regularly, and high-performing engineers and leaders are often quietly let go. There's a strong bias toward hiring from Expedia, where the new leadership came from. While some of these hires are good, many are underperforming but protected due to their connections. There's a clear bias against women in tech and leadership roles, with frequent accusations of nepotism, favoritism, sexism, and targeting of women leaders circulating on Blind. Senior engineers and management are being pushed to return to the office, while hundreds of engineers are hired in India. If you have other options, take them. This place is toxic and directionless, as reflected in its stock performance.

Pros

-Complete flexibility and autonomy; one of our core values is 'Ownership' and that is something I tangibly feel every day -Unlimited PTO and great benefits -An amazing team; I genuinely love everyone I work with on a daily basis -Great mission and product within a relatively stable/timeless industry (construction)

Cons

-Change is a constant - lots of leadership change over the past several years. I recognize this is not for everyone. However, I have a lot of faith in the new leadership team and the direction of the company.

Pros

Free lunch Tuesday through Thursday.

Cons

There is a huge reality issue between the Executives and the workerbees. Procore cannot scale its operations. New hires see this but leaders - especially ones that have been around since IPO- have zero ability to do anything or to understand the issues. Anyone working the deal operations knows that it’s one new motion away from complete month end chaos. The HR policies are stuck in some other generation. There are no team goals on which you are measured. There is no 360 where you can rate your manager. There is no leadership training or really any job training. There are no education benefits either.
