Pros
A handful of colleagues remain committed to doing great work despite the chaos.
Cons
When I first joined, this company felt inspiring. Unfortunately, that all changed with the arrival of the new leadership. What once felt like a mission-driven place quickly turned into an ego-driven environment where favoritism is obvious and dissenting voices are ignored. Unless you're part of the inner circle, your contributions don't matter. The recent round of layoffs drove this point home even further, handled with shocking disregard for the people who built the company, it was cold and deeply unprofessional. Adding to the disappointment is the glaring lack of diversity at the leadership level; nearly every new decision-maker is cut from the same cloth, with little concern for representing the company's diverse audience. If you're considering joining, know that the original culture that made this company unique has been buried under ego, favoritism, and shortsighted business moves.
