As someone who is in search of building strong professional networks, gaining the right mentorship, being a part of impactful projects and looking for multiple opportunities to upskill in the area of finance, joining the Finance team at Saks has helped me on this exciting journey of learning, unlearning and re-learning. Right from our managers to our directors and ultimately, our VP, the entire committee have been driving forces in showcasing what it takes to not only be a leader but to mentor, guide, inspire and motivate all at the same time. Over the course of the last 15 months, I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to engage in extensive conversations with my mentors regarding my career growth, pain points, learning opportunities, areas of improvement and action steps that are continuing to help me build my acumen, skill set and knowledge of the industry.
