Pros
Opportunity to learn a lot of aspects of business that can be applied anywhere - it's almost like getting paid to earn an MBA. Many good people work here and work passionately to help the franchisees. The company works hard to make sure they are never in the position of laying people off. The execs are dedicated and invested in the company's growth - not just a bunch of outsiders who stand to make money even if they are incompetent.
Cons
Ultra-conservative. Too much emphasis put on the wrong aspects of employee environment. For example - all dress is professional even though few f the jobs require it and the employees have repeatedly tried to address with management without the slightest acknowledgement. Some Executive Management definitely has a "you need us more than we need you" mentality - wonder how this will play out if/when job market improves. They already have a tough time recruiting in some areas and it is likely to only get tougher. Many of the best people leave here due to the environment. The same mentality that makes them stable (most execs have accounting backgrounds) also severely limits their creativity and growth. They cannot make their long-term goals with this mindset. Some really inept people in middle management.
