Pros

This is a love-it-or-hate-it environment. If you like leaving at 5pm on the dot and are a type B personality, you will probably like it here. Comp is pretty good and there are no real pressures. This is a great place if you like to gossip. If you are a type A personality with drive, you will likely hate this place within the first 2-weeks. Everything moves slow. People that wouldn't survive at other companies seem to just hang out here. The closest company culture match would probably be something like Dave Ramsey's Lampo Group in Franklin as there appears to be a lot of parallels between the organizations. Like I said - flip a coin. You will likely love it or hate it - doesn't really seem like there is a middle ground.

Cons

Way too many to list. Key ones include culture, gossipy admins, pitiful bonuses, terrible travel policies, nepotism, little opportunity to advance, etc., etc. Pick your poison. The company was family-owned with all the warts until recently and that culture still remains.

Pros

Immediate leadership was great, and starting pay was competitive. There are people who genuinely want to see the company succeed. The owners were personable and made a point to interact with all of the staff.

Cons

Dishonest. When hired I was promised commissions on profitable jobs. My whole time there I, my boss, and the only other project manager never saw a bonus, even though the department saw very significant increases in profit margins since I was hired, due in large part to the changes made to the process between my boss and myself. I was moved out to the region for this job and missed some time due to complications with the move, as well as some health struggles. I was given understanding and advised to keep and eye on it. When given news that our department was essentially dissolving and I would be taking on the work of half the team, I left early to discuss with my wife. On returning I was immediately terminated without any warning whatsoever and nothing lined up in a state I haven’t had time to make connections. Infighting among the staff is also an ongoing issue.
