Pros

Benefits Team Meetings/Team Bonding Opportunities Company equipment The company outwardly presents itself as progressive, supportive, and team-oriented.

Cons

What actually plays out inside is a completely different story. Leadership can be passive-aggressive, controlling, and emotionally inconsistent, particularly at the director level. Rather than fostering an environment where direct communication is welcomed, dissent, no matter how respectful, is labeled as “argumentative.” Employees are expected to be agreeable at all times, even when they’re being mistreated. HR is ineffective and exists more to protect management than to support employees. Concerns are not heard, and decisions are often made based on one-sided narratives without any proper investigation. There is no safe or neutral space to speak honestly about issues; instead, employees can be blindsided and dismissed without meaningful dialogue or clarity. The culture often rewards performative professionalism, lots of praise on the surface, but very little follow-through or consistency behind the scenes. People are praised one day and quietly pushed out the next. Some team members have been there for years without meeting performance expectations, while others are held to unspoken, constantly shifting standards. Meetings are frequent, unnecessarily long, and often counterproductive. Much of the time that could be spent on meaningful work is wasted reviewing basic job updates that could be handled more efficiently through improved documentation and workflow systems. It’s clear that inefficiencies are baked into the process to mask deeper organizational issues. Overall, the environment is condescending, especially toward younger professionals. If you’re looking for a space that values direct, respectful communication and actual growth over office politics and ego-driven leadership, look elsewhere.

Pros

Immediate leadership was great, and starting pay was competitive. There are people who genuinely want to see the company succeed. The owners were personable and made a point to interact with all of the staff.

Cons

Dishonest. When hired I was promised commissions on profitable jobs. My whole time there I, my boss, and the only other project manager never saw a bonus, even though the department saw very significant increases in profit margins since I was hired, due in large part to the changes made to the process between my boss and myself. I was moved out to the region for this job and missed some time due to complications with the move, as well as some health struggles. I was given understanding and advised to keep and eye on it. When given news that our department was essentially dissolving and I would be taking on the work of half the team, I left early to discuss with my wife. On returning I was immediately terminated without any warning whatsoever and nothing lined up in a state I haven’t had time to make connections. Infighting among the staff is also an ongoing issue.
