Pros

One of the pros to this position is the remote aspect, being able to log on at a designated time each day from home. The platform they use for remote workers, Quickclaim, generally has no issues running or troubleshooting.

Cons

This job, which I have only been at since August of this year, started off just fine for the most part. I was pleased about landing this position since it was different than the retail world and some professional experience. My first day, I proceeded to log on to Amazon Workspace, the hub they use for remote workers. I got locked out, called the office and was instructed to log in the following day. I missed out on a day's pay my very first shift. Moving on from that, the workload was pretty steady and I worked my hours with no issues from then on until the volume became unbearably low. I understand that companies cannot always predict what they will have coming in for their workers, but my position started to decline in efficiency around the time the company hired an entire group of new remote workers. After this, it was a struggle to even get four hours of work without sitting there for most of it, refreshing the queues repeatedly. A whole group of us started to email management, inquiring about the sharp decline in workload and frustrations surrounding not meeting the hours we needed. For example, I end up on average getting about 10 hours or less a week lately, when I am supposed to have 20 at the minimum. Management proceeded to answer with pre-worded and vague responses explaining that they cannot predict their volume and that we basically just have to put up with it. But what we were supposed to do per the company policy on low volume days is just log off whenever we do not have any queues to work. The problem with this, according to myself and a group of coworkers, was that we were not told that it would be like this in the beginning. Not to mention, that is an extended period of time to visit and revisit the same desk because you cannot do anything productive in the window of time you are supposed to be working. I signed employee agreement papers when I started stating that I had a set shift each weekday, and I were to work it and log off. So when the issue of low hours kept resurfacing, management's response was to update their employee handbook, make everyone sign it once more, and then proclaim a resounding this is what it is, like it or leave. The issue with this company is that management is callous and hard to reach, and the policies seem to be a bit blurred and change when the company sees fit, even at the workers' expense. I am forced to look elsewhere for employment, as I have had to pick up a second job just to afford what I need to and it has been extremely frustrating being told to log off when some days are as bad as even 10 minutes into the shift, having nothing to do and being forced to log off. This position is anything but reliable, and provides no job security whatsoever not to mention anything like paid time off. I would not recommend this particular position to anyone, as things are completely all over the place and at this point in time waitressing would be a more reliable source of income.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate and value your input as a current employee. Unfortunately, we do not have control over the workload on a daily basis as it is dependent on client volume. As such, we are not in a position to guarantee hours for staff. We apologize for the misunderstanding and will make sure we are absolutely clear on this during the hiring process. Please feel free to reach out with any further comments, concerns, or suggestions you wish to discuss. Your feedback is what makes us better.

Pros

I really enjoy working with my immediate team. We’re supportive, collaborative, and have built a genuinely positive working environment. My coworkers are one of the best parts of the job, and there’s a strong sense of trust and camaraderie among us. Day-to-day work feels manageable and even enjoyable because of the people I work with.

Cons

Outside of my team, the company can feel disconnected. Communication across departments isn’t always clear, and it sometimes feels like different parts of the organization are operating in silos. Additionally, the location I work out of can feel overlooked compared to others, which contributes to that sense of disconnection and lack of visibility.
