As Smartsheet grows globally and evolves, we’ve successfully embraced a flexible work model that gives our remote and hybrid employees autonomy over their work environment. With a distributed workforce it can be challenging to feel connected to colleagues around the globe, especially while onboarding. We strive to maintain our unique culture no matter where our team lives, and tools like Slack help us make that a reality. After the official launch of Slack over a year ago, we’ve seen incredible engagement across the company and will continue optimizing the platform to help employees stay connected and work effectively. We’re excited to continue providing programs that facilitate deeper connection in 2023, like the SmartBuddy Program, which pairs a new employee with a seasoned colleague to support onboarding, and the Coffee Connect Program, which pairs two employees who wouldn’t typically work together to create cross-functional awareness and new relationships.
