Pros
Friendly people. There have been a lot of positive changes, but they have been offset by the constant schedule mandates.
Cons
This is not coming from a negative place, but I feel is a necessary thing to share with people looking for a company that have children, or responsibilities that require consistent schedules. The 'in office' policy has changed 5 times since I've started with this company three years ago. From 2 days a week, to 3 days a week, to 5 days a week, back down to 3 days and now moving to three nine hour days (8-5 or 9-6 with a mandatory unpaid lunch. [swipe in swipe out for tracking]) Our office is headquartered in Geneva and we touch clients globally. That being said, if you take an early call, or a late call; you are still expected to be in office at your designated time. Some days you're working 10-11 hours. I have children. And when I accepted the role, I was promised leniency, that was supported, until the first mandate. Performance is not a consideration with these changes, and many of my high performing co-workers have left or are actively interviewing. There are a LOT of positives a Sonar. But it's hard to enjoy them when you're not trusted to perform without being tethered to a desk. It's also difficult to voice these concerns internally without fearing backlash, or having your work ethic questioned. Our CEO is great and we do have good leadership here, but there is no trust at the single contributor level. Sonar could be the right fit for you, but I think it's important to shed light on this aspect. If you are a single parent, or have a dual income family; you can't work here and be actively involved with your children.
