Pros

A job. It's better than nothing, I guess.

Cons

The company likes to show to the world how much they *care* for the sake of recruiting but in reality they havent made any efforts in doing so. For years the company has told us they would revise our compensation salary only to be told in Jan 2024 that someone else is taking on the role. They mentioned that we would hear of the new plan mid march, but the all hands meeting has gotten pushed back to April 2024 with no update. Dont get me started on Gallup Survey company results which they delay in sharing to the company. We are able to pull the results per team and they are shocked to see the low scores and then they question if people understood the questions. Umm we've been doing this survey for years. We understood the questions. If you are not located in an office where your manager is at, you can forget about career growth/development. 1:1 meetings are a total waste of time. Managers really show you how much they do not care about your growth (even though they preach they are there to help). They will show up late to your scheduled 1:1, reschedule them time and time again, and once you get them in a meeting they have nothing of value to provide. Another thing about managers, they are either people who are oblivious/refusing to accept the sinking ship theyre sailing, or people who bully, gossip and/or gaslight that got promoted to a management position. There are reviews that show this is a flat hierarchy organization... that is 100% BS. We have squad managers, team managers and then the CEO and Co CEO. Our medical benefits are the worst (no fertilility benefits, expensive plans) no volunteer days below average PTO no observations of US Fed Holidays no ADA accomodations If you take time off to go to a funeral, they want you to provide a death certificate to prove you went to a funeral. Not kidding. no work/life balance. Uneven work balance between GVA & ATX offices SOOOO Unorganized! Ever show up to a meeting to hear about this cool new implementation that another team kicked off that will impact your whole day to day process only to be followed up with 'SURPRISE ITS HAPPENING TODAY'? We used to have these things called circles and initiatives where people would bring out their topics and explain why theyre proposing this change and then ask for any volunteers to collaborate and implement a change within a timebox... that doesnt happen anymore. Collective intelligence is dead. Idk why they keep preaching it. Because of all this, people really have stopped caring about this place. People who used to arrive early, stay late and hang out with colleagues have turned to people who arrive on time work their 8 hours and get out as soon as the clock strikes 5. The sad thing about all this is, the GVA HQ office and colleagues in do not feel the same way. The US office has been outspoken about this and nothing has changed. You can clearly see the inequality between the two offices and see the offices are cared for differently.

Pros

You get paid and won't be homeless?

Cons

When I drive into the office in the morning, I think to myself how much happier I would be if I crashed my car into the wall instead of pulling up to work. Sonarsource is the most disorganized organization I have ever worked in. They are disrespectful and so passive aggressive under the mask of "we're European, so we're blunt." They're not blunt, they're just rude. If you can get another job, don't come here. Save yourself.

Pros

- There is a trip to Geneva once a year, but you'll be expected to be with your colleagues 24/7 for 2 weeks. Is that really a pro? - 24 days PTO but if a holiday lands on the weekend, you won't get a make-up day like every other company everywhere.

Cons

- Michael Scott style sales management without any of the charm of Michael Scott. They who have no idea what they're doing and blame everyone but themselves for the problems they cause. -A CEO who has no business being in that position - doesn't know how to run a business. Refuses to acknowledge the growing competition and constantly clips marketing wings because he believes the product sells itself. -They also lie to about selling into enterprise accounts. You'll be lucky if you get more than 10 in your account set and then will be yelled at incessantly by management because it is impossible to hit a €1m+ quota chasing $150 deals. -You will be micromanaged and management has a habit of changing in-office rules with no notice. Enjoy the attitude from them when you can't change your schedule at the last minute. - No promotions. - Constantly rotating accounts so it's impossible to build rapport. -Use extreme caution joining the sales org unless you enjoy feeling like Sisyphus
