Pros

Most every RSI worker is a great individual. No one is out to stab you in the back or step on you to get ahead.

Cons

Benefits - No employee contribution on insurance. No matched 401k for a year. After a year, matching is low. Contracts -They take any contract they can get and say anything to get it. This leads to over promising and the stress falls on you. No matter how right you are and wrong the client is, they will 100% back the client. Turnover - Before, they had a model of cheaper labor for being in 3rd tier cities. Now that everything is remote, everyone worth their salt is taking better remote jobs at higher pay. The wheat is gone, the chaff remains.

Pros

Leadership was relatively hands off. Requirements regarding interacting with anyone at Sparq while on a client were nonexistent.

Cons

Leadership has literally no idea what they are doing. At no point in my years with Sparq did senior leadership give any indication that they knew what was going on with clients. They also refused to take any accountability for hard times. The new CEO would often blame any company shortcomings on the economy or even politics. The company threw out the old model of getting rural engineers into the work force and decided it was cheaper to force cheap foreign labor on our clients which inevitably killed the company forcing massive layoffs. They also pay very very little for the industry but lie about it.
