Misleading "utilization rate" and therefore pay - Flexologist StretchLab Employee Review

Pros

You can be on your phone when you're hanging around in your downtime

Cons

Too much hanging around downtime without that "80% utilization rate" they'll tell you about in the interview to get you in. Hourly pay is vastly different between a stretching hour ("utilized" hour) and non-stretching, so that affects your pay: hugely. Was not able to sustain. Also when I worked there management would last-minute cancel shifts or cut them early with no advance warning so no security of hours or financial protection for that

Pros

You get to meet awesome clients, and you get to learn a lot

Cons

Depending on who owns your franchise and who your manager is. They’ll keep gaslighting you for issues the ownership/upper management created in their own. If you don’t take ownership of the problems they made and you keep telling them it’s their issue they created, they’ll end up just trying I find a way to fire you and still try to blame it on you but trying to frame it as if you quit.
