Pros
Health Insurance, Some Decent people work there. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Challenging work, ever-changing challenges. Some nice customers make you feel good about fixing their computer problems. Satisfaction when you fix the customer's problem.
Cons
Always watching the clock, it is frustrating when you have to choose whether to resolve the customer's problem, or can't complete a ticket because you can't finish within a certain timeframe. Supporting truly awful network equipment, that will flat out not work with some devices, and is prone to chronic problems. Rather than eliminate problematic equipment that is deployed by one of our partners we have to try and troubleshoot it when we are 99% we are not going to be successful. I wish we could make recommendations that would truly fix the customer's problems. It seems we are always trying to make up for other's screw ups. If it isn't our outsourced overseas sales department that adds an inappropriate subscription or support incident, or our partner's severely defective equipment, we always get the brunt of other's screw ups.
