The company used to have competitive pay, and genuinely cared about their employees. After the stock took such a dive that the company went through a hostile takeover the culture changed, management cares more about numbers than their employees. Supervisor bonuses are based on subordinates metrics. Depending on what contract your working under you might have people screaming at you on a daily basis. The job duties consistently change and you are expected to know about more things with no training and no pay increases. The pay is terrible and you will never get a pay raise unless your state min wage goes up and if that happens and you leave you won't be able to come back as they don't want to pay a decent wage for your knowledge. You are "compensated .50c an hour for using your own equipment and you are expected to keep it operational. Your schedule and supervisor will frequently change and what might have been fine for one supervisor will not be for another. The chat room you sit in is toxic and filled with people complaining about customers and supervisors will literally do nothing about it. The company doesn't match 401k, and has increasingly decreased their benefits each year. You get no holiday pay for working holidays, nor do you get time off for those holidays. you generate PTO and "Float Holiday" time off that you can take when when time is available. You cannot request time off unless you have the actual time on the books at that moment. They do not allow unpaid time off. The job is the worst parts of retail and help desk combined. People on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds are a frequent thing. After leaving i was able to go off both.
