Pros

Great supervisors (at least mine, others I have heard different), great team mates. Benefits are decent, no commute, no food expenses etc. Fixing the few of the nice customers always puts a smile on your face.

Cons

The cons unfortunately outweigh the pros: -No consecutive days off, you never feel rested after getting verbally abused by customers who blame YOU for their own ignorance when it comes to operating their devices. -Tools are unreliable and will leave you stuck to saying "I'm sorry our tools our down". -No holidays off -It is a McDonalds paycheck (maybe even less), I will be blunt and say it. If you have children this job will not support you. You will feel even worse after finding out others with less education/background than you are equally qualified. As other reviewers have said, they will hire just about anyone. -There is no room for advancement. -You are working for the #1 most hated company in America (Comcast), don't be fooled by the double-speak in the Craigslist Ad, you are literally a mediator for Comcast and even more of a punching bag for the customer as you are no longer allowed to change wireless channels. The Comcast wireless gateways have a high failure rate, after multiple gateways the customer does not want to hear "you need a new wireless gateway". 70% of SDC's work is from the Comcast tennant so if they ever decide to drop SDC the ship has sunk. -Other call centers pay $15 or more /hr. -Overall toxic environment, you feel defeated every single day. All it takes is one irate customer to ruin your day. -BS Metrics System: you are rated on following a script rather than the customer was actually happy or if the problem was solved. So a horrible RST could get 100s on their score as long they followed the predetermined script. -Comcast's "off shore" Tier always does nothing but stir up the wasp net with already angry customers and cold transfer them to YOU even if it isn't a wireless problem. It is even worse when they do not explain we cannot support 3rd party wireless equipment and then then dumps them on us. Yes, it is okay for them to have cold transferability while we our stuck. -Poor Work/Life Balance: Working at home seems great at first until you realize you have zero control over your schedule, Comcast could care less about your work/life balance. You have bs staggered days off that you will never really feel and you feel "trapped at home" rather than "working from home". -Overall this is a "resume filler" get a few months experience and move on because you will never have job security here. The only thing I can rate decent here is the benefits, that is literally the ONLY thing they got right.
