Only if you are passionate with database core technology and you got an offer for such works.
Cons
No respect. Engineers must work very hard to get a "so-so" rating. Managers like to micro-manage all things. Want your daily report. Check your arrival time in the morning and expect you to go home late and then attend meetings at nights, even mid-nights. Managers are hired through a process that don't really ask for tech skills/knowledge, but then act as the tech lead and show no respect to engineers. Engineers are all good and other employers keep coming to hire from Sybase employees.
