Pros
- Your office can make or break you. If you have a good team, they help make the day-to-day much better. - Good experience gain, especially for those looking to branch into HR, or recent college grads looking to get their foot in the door.
Cons
- Favoritism runs rampant. Recruiters are treated as expendable and there is no care or training put into their development the way that is done for salespeople. - Cutthroat, numbers-driven environment. Progress is tracked and monitored by management weekly. Any slight drop in performance/numbers is questioned. - Extremely low salary compared to industry standards. -"Uncapped commission" is promised, yet the structure MIGHT yield a few hundred dollars a month. If you're lucky. - They pride themselves on "running lean" - this simply means that there will be 3 people managing the workload of 10. - Work/life balance is horrific. Working after hours, working on weekends, and constantly needing to check email while on vacation are all the "norm" because there just aren't enough people to get the job done otherwise.
