Pros

Pay is okay Work from home, maybe

Cons

Payroll and HR are incompetent Spent 7 months trying to get health insurance for my partner after they lost their job. Paycheck was then over deducted for insurance and had to continue trying to get my wages back. Upper management are spineless and are not actually thinking about the frontline until you back them into a corner. Disorganized organization that always points fingers at each other when something goes wrong. Resulting in the frontline suffering. They took away yearly pay raises and blamed COVID for negatively impacting the business while at the same time boasted about opening new sites and earning new contracts.

Pros

Loved the LXL management chain. Supportive, fun, progress-minded. The company as a whole was okay, but the department I was with made it amazing. Lots of opportunities to develop skills. Absolutely incredible visibility for diversity, which is celebrated and respected without hesitation.

Cons

Very high demand. Can be very challenging to learn how to balance work and breathing room without falling behind. Many other departments were quick to blame the LXL department in front of highly regarded stakeholders for failures that were not of our own. Pay also changes depending on the client you work with. My client was the highest paying client at the time I was employed. The LXLs working for the branch-off of work from my client were paid much more than I due to the intensity of the work. My pay was considered the cap for where I was, and getting a raise that was not just a few pennies was not going to happen. Moving up is possible but limited. Due to this company being a BPO, if the client no longer needs our work, we are liable to be laid off. Employees are not contracted, but TaskUs is contracted to the client. Layoffs are a possibility, be it near or far. I was laid off after 4 years and saw many waves of many sizes laid off while there.
