Pros

People first before profit and very generous company

Cons

TaskUs recruitment process is very poor especially for the employee referral program. My referrals were advised to go onsite to complete the recruitment process. They went there and was advised to go home and wait for the phone call interview. Some information they provided that we are offering permanent WFH, but they were informed the applicants that permanent WFM are no longer offered and they offer a different LOBs. Some of our referrals are still waiting for their phone call and still no update until now. I have a referrals that even they put my full name, it was not posted on my Workday referral list. I already filed a ticket for this since June, until now I have not received any resolution. This is the only cons I am seeing in TaskUs the poor recruitment process.

Pros

Loved the LXL management chain. Supportive, fun, progress-minded. The company as a whole was okay, but the department I was with made it amazing. Lots of opportunities to develop skills. Absolutely incredible visibility for diversity, which is celebrated and respected without hesitation.

Cons

Very high demand. Can be very challenging to learn how to balance work and breathing room without falling behind. Many other departments were quick to blame the LXL department in front of highly regarded stakeholders for failures that were not of our own. Pay also changes depending on the client you work with. My client was the highest paying client at the time I was employed. The LXLs working for the branch-off of work from my client were paid much more than I due to the intensity of the work. My pay was considered the cap for where I was, and getting a raise that was not just a few pennies was not going to happen. Moving up is possible but limited. Due to this company being a BPO, if the client no longer needs our work, we are liable to be laid off. Employees are not contracted, but TaskUs is contracted to the client. Layoffs are a possibility, be it near or far. I was laid off after 4 years and saw many waves of many sizes laid off while there.
