Pros

Super nice, diverse, smart co-workers. Many are earnest and passionate lovers of the product and the fitness space overall. Lots of solid hires make for great sharing and ideas. They only require local employees to go into the office 1 day a week. This is much appreciated by those who loathe commuting.

Cons

I don't have an axe to grind. Just some constructive feedback from a long-time employee saddened to see a promising startup mismanaged . I hope the Founders and Board read this and take a moment of self-reflection. A few years ago Tempo was sitting on a pile of VC funds and arrogantly burned through much of it with capricious decisions and avoidable missteps. The Board expects to maintain a 24 month "cash runway". So whenever they bump up against the 24 months, they slash payroll. Every RIF gets Tempo back on the right side of the cash runway ... but only for a while. They demand growth, but the continuous RIFs leave them with limited staff to support the workload. Plus those remaining become less invested, more bitter and increasingly checked out. It kills morale to know you're on borrowed time. Tempo's cash management approach is destructive and unsustainable.

Pros

Great people, great product, inspiring CEO.

Cons

The usual growing pains of working for a start-up, especially one that really got started during the COVID era of 2020 and has to readjust post-COVID.

Pros

A great and creative team especially on the content side

Cons

A lot of division between teams (the engineering/business side and the content creation side), revolving door mentality with employees, no opportunities for growth or pay raise, sometimes unprofessional management
