THE WORST REGIONAL AND LOCAL MANAGERS!! - Holiday Key Holder & Associate (2+ YEARS) Torrid Employee Review

The managers are horrible and the location I was at had a revolving door. They do NOT care about you at all and only want to fill slots and refuse to reward high UPT if you do it too much. I basically made high UPT all the time and because I killed it I started getting no validation from going above and beyond because I bucked about my hours being too many for being hired part-time. I was denied upward movement because I was told I was "white" so the team would never respect me if I became a manager and when I asked for help cleaning up the pig pen of a jean wall I was told I "sounded like The Help" (THE MOVIE!) I asked why she would say that and she said it was because I was white. I was blamed for taking cash from a cash drawer when it was the manager who did it. I helped clear out that exact team to see it replaced by a small woman who acted more like a bratty princess than a true manager and because the old management team was gone this chick didn't give me the raise I was told I was going to get from lack of "knowing me long enough" ... and the district manager is so stuck up and rude with HORRID communication skills you find yourself squinting at her in astonishment or having a small anxiety attack. She doesn't know how to hire on good managers for beans because she lacks managerial skills herself. I refuse to shop there now. I miss my customers but I do NOT miss this location. It is SO trashy and the store is FILTHY!!!! Also NONE of the training material is followed at all and they do a LOT of things that are not to-code with Torrid guidelines. No worries though, the regional manager didn't seem to care beyond barking at the staff during her visits!
