Pros
Depending on the store, it can be a fairly laid back environment at smaller stores, which is nice, as you don't work with that many other people. The employee discount is okay, but nothing to write home about.
Cons
It seems like there is always something new to push on to the customer, whether it be donating to a charity or some new program, which takes time at the register, when you have people complaining how long it takes to check out.
