Why would a company be so short sighted in these days and with this economy to not plan for future transportation needs? - Driver Toys "R" Us Employee Review

Lots of communication problems from every direction. Trailers so outdated if they were inspected on the road many would be out of service. So the solution is to completely do away with the transportation department and outsource to another company and even though Toys folks were given the chance at a job with the new company they were drastically downsized in pay and benefits. All were told make a choice in 7 days or take your severance! Most had 3+ years all the way to 20+ years and were valued assets even as they were told the news.
