Pros
I love how my company is very active within the community. Not only does the company make monetary donations, but the employees come together when our community needs us or if a fellow employee has a hardship. Our leadership team has led us to become a billion dollar company, but they constantly remind everyone how we got there. We have gift card drawings and weekly emails praising employees. We recently received a surprise gift card as a thank you for helping us get to where we are today! We have our own credit union, fitness center and cafeteria. We are a growing company, but haven't forgotten where we started or who brought us there. It's great to be part of a company that has a genuine interest in you and your employment.
Cons
We may struggle sometimes having higher benefit costs than other companies who can be more competitive, but we make up for it in other areas. I pay for family coverage, but I stay because I respect my employer. They're ethical, kind and actually care about the employees. You can't say that for a lot of companies nowadays!
