Pros
Large community presence involved in local philanthropy. Corporate atmosphere but a small company. Lots of lateral career opportunities. Benefits package on par for industry.
Cons
Lots of resistance to change at the expense of employees. IT infrastructure and technology is 10+ years behind industry standard. IT is not prioritized and issues with internal systems become part of standard workflow. Distribution and marketing strategy is not fully developed. Documentation is excess and repetitive. Decisions are often made without team input. Employees often required to wear many different hats and responsibilities even when the resources are present from other business units or vendors. Opportunities for vertical career movement are few and far between especially for younger employees. Executive leadership was a revolving door during my time.
