This is the most ethical financial firm I know in this industry. Never in 35 years has an empolyee been laid off. The company offers great benefits, work life balance, and retirement package. Each quarter Vanguard will automatically deposit 10% of your quarterly earnings into your retirement account. They also match 100% of your biweekly contributions up to 4%. Team collaboration and knowledge sharing is encouaged. The company also offers accelerated development programs in technology, investments, and finance which can really boost your career. Each june, the company holds a partnership day which is a day to celebrate the company's sucess over a 3 year rolling period. The CEO announces the company's internal EPS that determines a multiple which is used to calculate the bonus each crew member recieves based on tenure and grade level. The company also encourages professional development through sponsoring MBA, CFP, CPA, and CFA programs.
Cons
Base pay is on the lower end compared to other firms. Moving up the ladder is very challenging given that as you move up the ranks, the positions become more scarce. If you don't network, you will not get ahead at a rate that a good performing crew member would otherwise. Partnership calculations are not transparent. Accounting systems are really out of date and can be a pain to work with.
