Pros
They don’t fire people. They harbor a culture of mediocrity so as long as you are awake you are fine. Pay is horrendous so hopefully you don’t have a family to support.
Cons
Where to begin. Upper management is clueless about what happens day to day. Leaders will routinely send weekly emails about their personal lives and how great Vanguard is. Yea it is probably great if you are higher up. They don’t promote based on merit. I will bite my tongue but you know where I’m going. They hire you to an entry level position and if you can survive long enough to get a better role, great. If not you have no choice to leave based on the treatment from clients. Management is so disconnected from day to day operations that it feels like they are working at a different company. They don’t have nearly enough reps on the phones because turnover is so high. This leads to nonstop phone calls day after day with the expectation that we should just grin and bear it. The culture is complete garbage. They say they care about people but I was just a number. I don’t think if they doubled my pay I would have stayed
