A company that doesn't respect its employees at all - Cannabis Advisor Verano Holdings Employee Review

This company has absolutely out of touch marketing and leadership. They will push decisions, marketing programs, and many changes that indicate they have absolutely no idea what actually happens in their stores. Predictably a few months to a year later at most, they'll realize that the decisions they made completely fell flat on their face and start rolling them back without any sort of accountability or apology towards how their brilliant ideas have inconvenienced the day-to-day lives at our job. They'll never actually communicate with the people who work in the trenches with the customers who buy the products they make, so they'll never actually make any good business decisions. For example, the microphone at our drive-thru has been broken for 3 years and instead of replacing it, they installed exterior speakers playing the terrible radio station that plays at all Zen Leaf locations. Those exterior speakers are already blown out and terrible, just like the microphone at drive-thru that's been broken for 3 years. Kind of like everything else at this company. They most recently took away our insurance, we all had Blue Cross Blue shield and they replaced it with a third-party administrator. If you know anything about third party administrators, they basically exist as a loophole to help corporations get out of paying for benefits for their employees. We essentially don't have insurance anymore so if that's important to you do not work for this company. They claim to offer a career ladder to incentivize retention, but the only time you are up for promotion is because the person who had the job you want was squeezed until there was nothing left but a burnt out husk, and they quit. If you are hoping to make a career in this company, you're essentially looking at a last Man standing winner takes all situation. Waiting and watching the person ahead of you get more and more tired as the company takes as much as they can and gives very little in return. Everyone who works for this company is overworked and underpaid. They have to keep it that way because they bid millions and millions of dollars on florida legalizing recreational marijuana. They didn't so the company lost their entire investment and now we have to pay the price. Overall, the job isn't difficult, it's just very high volume. You're dealing with a lot of people and the people you're dealing often come with a lot of problems and baggage that you have to get through. The starting salary at other dispensaries is a dollar more than what you'll make working at this dispensary for two plus years. So I'd recommend either getting a job elsewhere or using this as a stepping stool to get to a different dispensary.
