Pros

Lots of opportunities for overtime, small sign on bonus, some minor financial aid for school and career advancement, will hire CNAs immediately out of school before state board exams.

Cons

Understaffed, overloaded nurses and CNAs, dissatisfied residents, low wages, no night shift differential, outdated equipment which create more backbreaking unsafe conditions for both employees and residents, chronic administrative disorganization due to high turnover, sign on bonus takes months to kick in, school financial aid is hardly enough to cover textbooks, full time workers expected to work 6 days per week and pick up shifts to work doubles and cover the staffing shortage.

Thank you for taking the time to describe your experience. We are concerned by your report, but uncertain about some of the details, as we do not have a location in Lakewood, Colorado. Also, at Vi, we do not have any crank beds, we do not hire CNAs before they pass the CNA exam, and we do not schedule CNAs to work 6 days a week. We strive to provide a positive work experience for our employees and suggest that you contact Human Resources for assistance with your concerns. We appreciate the time that you took to provide feedback.

Pros

The residents are the only good thing about the job

Cons

Management only cares about themselves and bonus. They have favorites. HR tells everyone what you tell them amd you can’t trust them and they only care about managers. It used to be good but it changed and no one’s happy.
