Pros

It’s a job, it’s challenging and will provide you some experience to find a better job.

Cons

Be ready to be treated like a child. To start out, the pay is terrible. A bachelors degree is “required” I say this lightly as I don’t think a majority of employees have one. They can’t seem to keep employees, so more work is piled on top of you even when you can’t handle it. They are constantly asking for suggestions and then don’t want to listen or do anything about their employees who voice their frustration. Management is always talking about “changes” but the information is not given to anyone. Managers have a clique of friends that get to hear new changes but they don’t spread it to the employees who it might be affecting. The office itself is disgusting (for the downstairs anyways, the executives upstairs have it much different). There is always spilled coffee grounds in the ice machine (if it isn’t frozen up), The snacks in the vending machine are often stale or moldy, the bathrooms reek and often times only two stalls are working. And don’t expect to get any answers from management through email. They will either completely ignore it or take 3 weeks to answer. I understand it’s a very email heavy job, but it’s not that hard to respond to an email.

Pros

WBS is a great place to work with a truly supportive culture. Management genuinely cares about your success and creates an environment where you feel empowered to ask questions and take on new challenges. There's a strong focus on individual and professional development, so no matter your role, you're always learning and growing. With a team that's willing to help each other out, it's easy to see why so many people build long-term careers here.

Cons

It's not government work. We work hard and we do so with the support of leadership. If you want to be challenged, if you want to be encouraged to grow, come work with us!

Pros

Profit sharing. Biannual company luncheons. Supportive coworkers. Access to promotions but not at the design center.

Cons

No raises which is fine when there is a profit sharing bonus. Other than that, only way to make more money is to seek a promotion. Long hours and work load when it's busy.
