Pros

Great Benefits and insurance, good upward mobility options, very safety driven. Co-workers are very kind and enjoyable to work with leading to a great work culture among peers

Cons

Below average pay and 50-60+ hour/week expectation to perform well. The performance review design is set up to maintain average review (truncated scoring), No management reviews or management feedback is performed leading to stagnation and advancement of poor leaders. The bonus system is profit sharing but typically ends in an extra paycheck if even that. Understaffing and distribution of work for existing employees make it feel like operations are performing under barebones funding and staffing for employees. There is no loyalty or honor for veteran employees who stay with the company long-term, your last mistake is how you are perceived by management, and problems are pointed downwards instead of management taking responsibility for shortcomings. Management views themselves as a different class and an exclusive club outside of the average or seasoned veteran workhorse employees and they take luxuries that they would never provide to anyone else reducing funding for company improvement or moral boosts for hardworking contributors.

Pros

Speaking for the Pasadena TX location .. lots of great people there, a lot of people in operations I miss. Definitely would have retired from here had I not moved on to something different in my life. I don’t miss the job, I miss the people.

Cons

I’m sure if I thought long enough, I’d think of something to complain about… but no really, you just have to make the best of it. I’ve done worse for a lot less money.
