Pros
SQL is useful to pull data sets you might need. There are some great people that work there.
Cons
There's a lot. Medical benefits are beyond expensive. Reporting is not good, payroll can't be trusted and has manual manipulation all of the time, the system can't be trusted to do what you ask of it, and training is very minimal. Getting help is hard as the experienced people are overworked and don't have a lot of time to help you. There aren't enough of the experienced people either. The company has admitted that their training program is lacking. There are no metrics to measure production. If you don't know SQL you are in trouble. Lots of experienced people continue to leave and they bring in new employees that may know the industry but the software isn't something you can learn in a month or two. They are then thrown into the fire. No exit interview, you would think that a company would ask for feedback when an employee leaves. Nope, they don't care. I also know recently they let employees go due to Covid19. However, it seems odd to say we can't afford you and need to let you go due to this, but the week prior they promoted multiple upper management employees. If you are hurting for money and can't keep employees, I'd think the last thing you would want to do is give out more money. Wouldn't that be counter-intuitive to what you say you need to do? This to me is BE in a nutshell. Directionless. not honest, terrible software.
