Pros
Most of the people they hire are killers. Some of the most talented people I've ever met. This can be a con to some people but the pace is insane. Sometimes it's pure chaos for the sake of causing chaos. My first month here my workload was 4x the busiest I have ever experienced prior. Pete's ambition is very infectious but he talked like some normal random New York construction worker so I respectfully call him the smartest dumb guy I've ever met. You kind of need someone like that to dream big and attract big talent. Most importantly for me, there are free lunches.
Cons
I like working off hours but sometimes there will be a random hella long phone call that upends my weekend plans. There are surprise meetings as well that can derail plans. You have to be prepared to move from one company to another or from one role to another. If you are very competent in one area, you will be asked to do that same thing for another company sometimes. Sometimes strategies aren't allowed to play out because they are "long" plays. Sandwiches for lunch sometimes 3 times a week when once a week is enough. Massive carbs for lunch sometimes.
