Pros

- Extremely flexible: Ofc not PTO but was able to find replacement teachers almost all the time. - Good work availability: Was usually able to fill all of the hours I'd request when my schedule changed.

Cons

- Lots of unpaid outside work: Had to come up with a lot of lesson plans on unpaid time when the provided lesson plans ran out. This got especially time consuming for advanced students. - Low compensation: Felt like I deserved at least a little more than minimum wage at the time.

Incredibly supportive management, casual working environment, supportive coworkers, and a dynamically shifting list of tasks that always keeps the job interesting.

Cons

The after-school nature of the coaching sessions means that, for part-timers, hours can be limited during slower seasons, and may be soft-capped to 5 hours a day maximum, depending on the season.
