Glad to hear the benefits, the mission, and the ability to move around and showcase your work are all landing. Those are deliberate — the medication benefit, the 401k match, and the IV therapy are part of how Empower takes care of its own. And the opportunity to move across the organisation is something we want more people to know about. Your note on communication is consistent with what we are hearing from others, and it matters. When the company is changing fast, people deserve to know what is changing and why — not after the fact, but in real time. We are working on that, starting with more structured internal updates and a town hall cadence designed around transparency. Thank you for this. — Empower Pharmacy

Instability and High Pressure Environment

Pros

Compensation is competitive for the industry and there are opportunities to gain experience quickly due to the pace of work. Workforce is extremely diverse.

Cons

The organization has experienced frequent restructuring and layoffs, which has created significant uncertainty for employees. Teams are often lean, which can lead to heavy workloads and urgent timelines. There is also a strong push to complete work quickly, which can sometimes impact the ability to conduct thorough reviews and maintain high documentation quality. Leadership style in some areas can feel top-down, and communication around organizational changes could be more transparent. Employees working in regulated environments may find the pace challenging when trying to balance compliance expectations with aggressive timelines. Long hours and schedule unpredictability which result in an inability to have a decent work-life balance.

Thank you for your candid feedback. You're right, hypergrowth is hard, and we're building systems while scaling fast. That creates friction, and we own that. Your insights on department communication are being shared with leadership because real change requires honest voices like yours. We're committed to doing better.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It's meaningful to hear that you're part of a team where collaboration drives impact. We're building something fundamentally different in pharma, where people matter as much as the mission, and your voice helps prove it's possible. Keep challenging the status quo with us.
